What is Tarot?

Tarot is an ancient system of divination using a set of 78 cards. I personally use the OSHO Zen Tarot. OSHO Zen Tarot is definitely not a traditional tarot, in the sense that you play with prediction. Rather, it mirrors the moment, unwaveringly presenting what is here, now, without judgment or comparison. The Tarot is a wake-up call to tune in to sensitivity, intuition, compassion, receptivity, courage, and individuality. Its rich Zen images serve as a symbolic map of consciousness and a tool for inner guidance and growth.

OSHO Zen Tarot

The traditional tarot is often used to satisfy our longing to understand the past, or to predict the future. OSHO Zen Tarot, on the other hand, focuses on gaining an understanding of the here and now. It is a system based on the wisdom of Zen -- a wisdom that says events in the outer world simply reflect our own thoughts and feelings, even though we ourselves might be unclear about what those thoughts and feelings are. OSHO Zen Tarot helps us turn our attention away from outside events so we find a new clarity of understanding about what is happening in our innermost hearts, right now – and provides us insight and guidance on what you can do to improve your life situation.

The images on the cards are thoroughly contemporary.  Medieval symbols have been discarded and replaced with modern paintings.   Meditation on these cards helps the reader understand that all the conditions and states of mind shown on the cards are essentially transitional -- and if we can just take a look and see things as they really are, the very act of seeing can be transformed, thus changing our ideas and attitudes about life.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

You must notify me within 48 hours of a scheduled appointment to reschedule. A $25.00 fee may apply for rescheduling, as others could have used the time slot. If you fail to arrive for an in-person session, you have the option to reschedule - however you will be charged in full for the initial appointment.

Unique Entertainment

Are you planning a corporate event, bridal shower, bachelorette party, or any other kind of party or occasion? Tarot readings add a unique flavor and turn any event into a day to remember. Participants love the experience of having a reading and then "comparing notes" with their friends as the party continues.

Prior to the event, I will consult with you to learn more about the event and insure my style meets your specific needs.

For the readings, all you’ll need to provide is a small table with two chairs. It ideally should be in a separate room or corner, so the readings can be done in peace and quiet, with some privacy for people who might feel a little uncomfortable asking questions about their life with a party full of people listening.

I charge a flat hourly rate and do as many readings as possible during the time allowed. Typically, the readings last about 5-10 minutes per person; some may be longer or shorter, depending on the individual's situation.

I dress professionally for the event - it can be either casual or formal, depending on the type of party - but sorry, I don't wear "costumes".
